We do not take reservations at Riddle & Finns at The Lanes.
When making a booking at Riddle and Finns on the Beach we ask for your acceptance of the following cancellation policy: we require credit/debit card details on bookings for Friday night through to Sunday lunchtime. We do not charge the card unless in event of a no-show. We then reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £15 per person. Credit card details are stored securely through our online booking system, resdiary.com via a company called Stripe.
We extend this bookings policy to bank holidays and graduation week during July and August.
We do not reserve our terrace tables. This is due to the changeability of the weather. Outside tables are allocated on a first come first served basis and we operate a waiting list if the terrace is full.
We do not reserve specific tables inside the restaurant, they will be allocated on arrival. We are aware of the popularity of the mezzanine tables in the window and feel this is the fairest policy so that all of our guests’ will have the same opportunity to be seated here.
For larger groups we reserve our private dining room. Please note when booking this space we do require pre-orders from one of three fixed-price set menus.
We limit payments to two cards in the private dining room. This is to ensure easy and smooth payments for the customer and the restaurant.
We do not split up larger groups on separate tables in the main restaurant.
We are a family friendly restaurant, however we would ask that children be included in the guest numbers when making a reservation. This way we can make sure you have plenty of room on your table.
Unfortunately we do not accept bookings for hen or stag parties at the restaurant.
We do not offer corkage at the restaurant as we feel our extensive wine and champagne list covers all bases.
We will hold tables for up to 20 minutes after the booking time. If you are running late please do let us know.
A discretionary service charge of 10% will be added to your bill. All proceeds go to the staff.
We do not allow dogs in the restaurant (exceptions for guide dogs).
