Since opening our first Brighton restaurant in 2006, Riddle and Finns Champagne and Oyster Bars have become established as a premier destination for lovers of seafood on the south coast.
Our restaurants embrace social dining with shared tables, where guests sit side by side for a communal, connected experience.
Our friendly, experienced hosts ensure you enjoy a relaxed and distinct dining experience. Enviable locations coupled with an award-winning combination of Champagne and Oysters, locally sourced shellfish, show-stopping fruits de mer platters and delicious, sustainably sourced fish dishes.
Our original Lanes restaurant runs predominantly on a walk in basis. Book online or pop down for a walk-in table. We do take a limited amount of bookings each day. For tables of above 6 guests please contact the office
The Beach
Perched above Brighton beach with uninterrupted views of the sea and sky our seafront restaurant is the perfect location to enjoy the finest seafood on the south coast.
Champagne and Oysters on our sunny balcony are a real treat as are the spectacular sunsets over Brighton’s historic West Pier and the daily murmurations.
Celebrate a special occasion in style or enjoy a lazy lunch on our famous high marble sharing tables with side by side seating.
Please note we only reserve tables for the inside of our restaurant due to changing weather conditions.

You’ll find us nestled amongst Brighton’s jewellery quarter, in the hustle and bustle of Brighton’s South Lanes.
The Lanes is predominantly a walk-in restaurant but we have a limited number of reservations available daily to book in advance. Book online or pop down to the restaurant for a walk-in table.

The Menu
Join us for a glass of champagne and freshly shucked oysters, spectacular seafood platters and the most delicious fish dishes on the south coast.
We have a selection of special accompaniments to go with your fresh Oysters, light bites and starters including Sashimi, Brighton Seared Scallops, Calamari and Tempura Monkfish.
Langoustines on ice or perhaps grilled with chilli and salsa verde. Fruits de Mer platters bursting with delicious Crustacea and an extensive selection of main dishes, seafood salads and vegetarian dishes. Â Â
